    “I thought it would be a good opportunity for Steve Smith’s Family Foundation to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Cabarrus County because Jenni was a victim and that’s one of their platforms at the foundation,” Smaw said. “So I just went out on a limb and reached out to the foundation director and he contacted Steve and he immediately said, ‘Yes we would love to help.”

    Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. ReStore Cabarrus is conveniently located in Kannapolis, NC. All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity.

  • Habitat Cabarrus is seeking an experienced ReStore Assistant Manager who will report to the ReStore Manager and assist the ReStore Manager in administrative and operational functions of the ReStore working toward achievement of operational, financial and mission focused goals.

About Us
What We Do

Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County, a non-profit Christian housing ministry, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014. Over those 27 years, Habitat Cabarrus has now built nearly 150 new houses, completed rehab work, home repairs or weatherization work on over 125 houses and has served 13 families in transitional housing. Over 900 people, including 450 children have benefitted from Habitat Cabarrus’ work in our community.

Meet Our Homeowners

Coni is a hard-working single mother of three. She, her son, and two daughters share a two (2) bedroom apartment. It’s a good thing this family it tight-knit because two bedrooms don’t provide a great amount of privacy. But tight quarters are only part of the reason Coni began the Habitat homeownership program.

The Faithful Servant

If you’ve ever been to the Restore, you’ve probably seen this welcoming smile at the register. The woman behind the smile is Mary and she is one of our most loyal volunteers. Mary has been a volunteer at the Habitat Restore since it started back in 2004. She had just moved to Kannapolis as a travel nurse and knew nearly no one.
