Census forms are being mailed out this week and Habitat Cabarrus is continuing its partnership with the 2010 Census. Staff, volunteers, and Partner Families will all take part in promoting the 2010 Census’ call to action – it truly is in our hands! Join us and take ten minutes to complete YOUR Census survey. It is vital to the future of our organization and Cabarrus County's future!

The 2010 Census is important – it determines the distribution of $300 billion annually of government funding for critical community services, and the distribution of state House of Representative seats. Census data helps forecast future housing and transportation needs; planning for hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and other health services; planning investments and evaluating financial risks; facilitating scientific research; and drawing school district boundaries.

Please do your part by completing your Census form and returning it by mail as soon as you receive it. Additionally, look for colorful Habitat/Census t-shirts around town, provided by the 2010 Census Partnership Support Program.

Need Assistance completing your survey? Habitat Cabarrus is an official Question Assistance Center. A trained US Census staff member will be available in our office each weekday from 2:00-4:00pm. Come by our 8 Church Street office to complete your survey!
