Habitat Cabarrus’ Dana Conner Richardson Memorial Scholarship was recently awarded to Nishara Boone. During high school, Nishara participated in JROTC for 4 years and tutored 5th grade students. Nishara is employed part-time at Chick-fil-a Concord Commons, whose owners John and Patrizia Charping are devoted Habitat supporters. Nishara and her mom Jackie are our 150th homeowners and their home was this year’s Collegiate Challenge build.
Nishara plans to attend RCCC for two years and then transfer to UNC Greensboro to obtain a degree in Forensics with a minor in Business. Nishara would like to be a Forensic Anthropologist and plans to give back to her community in any way that she can. Nishara states “I have so much pride in and for Habitat for Humanity that all I have left is to give back!”
Congratulations, Nishara and best wishes for a prosperous future!
