Global Village Trip
Looking for an opportunity to engage in Habitat's global work? Look no further than our annual Global Village Trip!
The Global Village program offers local volunteers the opportunity to go abroad and experience something truly transformative. Each trip gets you up close and personal with members of the family whose house you're building, as well as they're surrounding community, and teaches you about the housing issues that other countries face every day.
Not only will you be building and interacting with the neighborhood, but you'll also have time to explore local wonders and cultural activities so that you can fully immerse yourself in all that each beautiful country has to offer.
It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that only Habitat for Humanity can provide.
What's Included in the Global Village Experience?
- Trips range from 9 to 14 days and will consist of build activities, meeting members of the community and exploring local culture
- Accommodations, meals, local transportation
- A direct contribution to the host country, which may be eligible for tithe credit, so that Habitat can continue building after you return home
Habitat Cabarrus in the Dominican Republic
This year, we'll be hosting our Global Village Trip to the Dominican Republic from Saturday, March 28, 2020 to Sunday, April 5, 2020.
The Trip Cost of $1,925 includes a donation to Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic and Habitat for Humanity International, meals, accommodations, transportation within the country, predetermined cultural activities, insurance, and team coordination.
The Trip Cost does NOT include airfare. Estimated airfare for this trip is between $650 and $700.
Team members arriving earlier or staying later than the designated trip dates are responsible for their own accommodations, transportation, and other payments.

Our team will consist of about 10-12 members. We are currently seeking 6 additional volunteers to fill out the rest of the team.
